Question:

What is the best way to store coffee beans and ground coffee?

Some packs of coffee say store in the refrigeratorSome say to never store in the refrigeratorSome say freeze individual weeks supplySome say don't freezeWTF?

Answer:

It sounds as if that is not really yarnBut to make it stable (whatever that means) you will need to add more twistIt's hard to do now that it is plied, but can be doneIf it is in fact not yarn but roving, then you need to spin it first, ply it and then you will have a good strong yarnI am right now spinning a lovely merino/silk blend in shades of grey, and I love it! I am spinning it very fine, and it will probably become some lace later, with a few beads put into itIf you don't spin, find a spinner locally and see if they can add some twist to it to make it strongerThere is nothing other you can do to make it strongerMerino and silk both lack body - that is why you are using it - so perhaps you have chosen the wrong yarn for this projectIt would be suitable for something else.
Store the whole roasted coffee beans in any kind of airtight container that is not clear glassCeramic is often used successfullyAvoid storing coffee beans in clear glassSunlight and heat will increase the rate at which the beans will decayDo not store more than one or two week's worth of coffee at one timeIf you must store more than this, store it in the freezerDon't allow the coffee to become exposed to any moisture while in the freezerThis is accomplished by using an airtight canister for storageIf this isn't possible, use a plastic zipper bagSuck all of the air out of the zipper bag by pressing it out and finalizing the process with a strawAfter you get as much air out as possible, seal the bagNext you must wrap the bag in plastic wrap and aluminum foil to keep the moisture out.
