What is the difference between a cold air intake, inter-cooler & radiator.?

As far as i know, radiator cools the engine.Where Cold air intake or inter-cooler cools down the air before it enters the engine i know cold air is denser. carry more oxygen.but i‘m confused at the point about mechanism types of air intake inter-cooler which one would be better to be used after turbocharging a car.?can we use both together.? (if yes, then is it more beneficial in comparison to one of them.)how much difference can any of these make on a turbocharged engine non-turbo engine.?

As far as I know every car made since 1990 has a cold air intake. Before 1980 most cars had hot air intakes similar to short ram intakes, drawing hot air from the engine compartment but the quest for better performance and fuel economy led to modern intakes with heat stove preheat and cold air induction. Unless you are planning on putting out a thousand dollars or more for an intake made for a larger engine than came stock in your car, both types of intake are going to be inferior to what Audi made for your car.40 years ago an aftermarket cold air intake was an inmprovement, today it is a step backward. Short rams are two steps backward.
Radiator cools coolant. Cold Air intake PULLS air from the wheel well which is somewhat better than from the engine bay (but not as cool as ram air setups) Intercoolers are on forced induction cars. In a supercharged car they are called HEAT EXCHANGERS (at least on roots supercharged vehicles); they are air to water systems (ie a radiator for the manifold). Some don't have them but they generally are low boost applications. All Turbo cars have intercoolers because the compressor side of the turbo is attached to the turbine side which is bolted to the exhaust.need to cool the air prior to going into the intake. Usually air to air but some people do run a air to water setup. You can technically run an air to air intercooler with a centrifugal supercharger but nobody really does that. You can't run an intercooler on a n/a car because there's no point, it would probably end up heating the air prior to entering the engine (if you did it: Intake, intercooler, manifold) because most intercoolers sit smack dab on the radiator which heats up as well.
Cold air intake is simply a hose that draws in fresh air in from the outside world. An intercooler works like this. The Turbo compresses the air, compressing air heats it up (the opposite happens when you decompress air like a can of deodorant) hot air isn't as dense as cold air so the air passes through a mini radiator to cool it down before it goes into the engine. This mini radiator is an intercooler. A radiator in a car is a way to cool down water. It works by arranging hundreds of little pipes in rows with small metal gills all over them, as the hot water passes through the metal heats up, and as the car is moving (or the fan is running) the air passing over the radiator cools the metal and the air inside it. Petrol engines basically need 3 things to run, fuel air and electricity. The fuel and air need to be mixed in a correct amount. If you want the engine to run faster Then you need to get the fuel and air in faster, a turbo is like a pump forcing the air into the engine. You can speed the air into an engine by using faster flowing air filters too. Also getting the old air (exhaust) out is important, a sports exhaust helps here. An intercooler wouldn't do ANYTHING to a car with no forced induction (turbo / supercharger), well it may slow it down in fact, as there will be increased drag on the air going into the engine. A turbo car with an intercooler could make as much as 15% more power, but it depends on the engine and boost. In all cases you will need a radiator, but all cars have this apart from some Porches and VW beetles (old models) etc.
