What is the difference between cold plate and strip steel?

Answer:

The strip is supplied in general, and has the advantages of high dimensional accuracy, good surface quality, easy processing and material saving. Same as steel plate, strip steel is divided into two kinds of ordinary strip steel and high quality strip steel according to the material used. Two kinds of hot-rolled strip steel and cold rolled strip steel are processed according to processing method.
Strip steel is a kind of narrow and long steel plate produced by various rolling mills to meet the needs of industrial production of various metal or mechanical products in different industrial sectors. Strip steel, also known as steel strip, is within 1300mm in width, and the length varies slightly according to the size of each roll.
Cold rolled sheet steel is short for ordinary carbon structural steel cold-rolled plate, also known as cold rolled plate, commonly known as cold plate, sometimes mistaken for cold tie plate. The cold plate is made of ordinary carbon structural steel hot rolled steel strip, which is made into steel plate with thickness less than 4mm after further cold rolling. Because the rolling at room temperature, does not produce iron oxide, so the surface quality of cold plate, high dimensional accuracy, coupled with the annealing treatment, the mechanical properties and process performance are better than the hot rolled steel sheet, in many fields, especially in the field of electrical appliance manufacture, has gradually replaced it with hot rolled steel sheet.
