I think that is totally fine. That is just about the perfect age to start riding because he'll be willing to learn and put him on a healthy track for later life, teaching him responsibility, diversity, and will put him in shape to a certain extent. I would watch the lessons though, horseback riding can be dangerous when it comes to little kids.
If your going through the enlisted way you need to first earn your bachelors degree while enlisted then transfer on to OTS(Officer Training School) then somewhere down that line you can be a pilot
I am not into expensive fishing equipment unless it is deep sea fishing so I would recommend the southbend combo I got mine for 19.99 it includes a reel, rod, and 10-15 dollars worth of tackle. I have had this for 2 years and nothing has went wrong. I have others for 5+ years with no problem. I would recommend the trout or bass combo they are both spinning rods. It is okay either way you buy it just buy what you need as long as the price is right. For example if you are buying a rod and it is worth 14 bucks but this combo is 19 then I would go for the combo. If it was 5-7 bucks for the reel and that is all you need go for the reel PS I have caught fish with southbend fishing equipment you see that trout in my avatar I caught it with a southbend spinning rod and spinner because flys were not working
