What is the maximum pressure for copper water pipes in homes?

Answer:

Check your owner’s manual before you measure your chain slack – not all manufacturer’s measure them the same way. When you rotate the rear wheel can it spin freely in one direction but less so in the opposite direction? Check for tight/seized/stiff links in the chain, have a look for hooked/damaged/broken teeth on either sprocket.
You would be able to hear the brake if it was dragging. The chain should have about one inch of play measured at the middle of the bottom run.
when you check the slack in that chain it is NOT done unsprung,it is done with a person sitting on the bike. With a rider in the seated position you should have about 3/4 of an inch of play,if no play it is way to tight and that would be your problem. you did not say if it has a drum brake it is easy for them to be set to tight.
Copper piping can stand pressures upwards of 200 psi, although you should never see this amount of pressure in your home. The average water pressure is around 50-70 psi from the utility. At times, if there is construction around your property, construction companies may need use of large amounts of water for there project. They will tell the utility and the utility may determine they need to step up there pumps to accomodate the increase. Therfore your system could recieve higher than normal pressure. While your system can handle the increase problems will occur, mainly with your water heating system. Swelling from the increase in pressure will cause stress on your water heater, the main cause for pre-mature failure. Residential systems should have either a expansion tank piped in close to the water heater or a pressure regulator installed in the main pipe furnishing water to the home. Easily installable and either can be found in hardware stores(Lowes, Home depot)
