WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE PART ON A 2002 BMW 325I WHERE THE KEY GOES INTO THE DRIVERS DOOR ?DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY?

Answer:

The couplings on a fire hose have to be lose, so they'll join together easily. If they had a tight tolerance a nick in the thread or a piece of grit or rock stuck in it would prevent the hoses from joining.
I wouldn't waste my time fighting this. If you think you're too close to they hydrant (fire plug, as one post called it); then YOU ARE!! Hydrants can be painted any color, unless dictated by local ordinance. Many areas have them color coded based on the flow rate of the water main. So if there's a fire, and the firefighters have a choice of two hydrants the same distance from the fire, they'll choose the higher flow rate. There is a standard on what the colors designate; I think that it is yellow, orange, red and green, with green having the highest flow rate. 98% of firefighters are really cool; but don't think that any of them wouldn't get a kick out of doing a backdraft. Putting the hose throught the car windows! It ranks right up there with using the hydraulic cutters on the door or roof of a police car because an accident victim sat in the police car to get out of the weather. Bottom line, why chance it?
I guess the only conclusion to these episode is that most firemen do not do much maintenance check on their equipment especially the fire hoses which eventually leak when they fight fires somewhere else. One of the reason which you stated is correct worned out hoses or equipment. As you know for sure, I guess you listen to news story all the time concerning your country economic state, some fire department is minimizing budget cuts or allowances for fire fighting equipment. Some department do not have budget or allowances to buy new equipment esp. fire hose and other paraphernalia. They still uses the old one because of course money cuts. So do not be surprise if you do see every news story including video of the scene when you see clearly that the fire hoses leak water. Do not blame the fire fighters, they are just doing their job. Blame the people in the government who do not allocate enough funds for these firemen who are risking their lives to fight fire.
They were made in china.
