Basically because he blatantly lied and tried to sabotage MLB's investigation of Biogenesis. A lot of sources have been reporting that his suspension will run through the end of the 2014 season, I'd be shocked if they ban him for life. A lot of the fans want him gone because they're sick and tired of him and believe that banning him for life will help clean up the game.
