We have already bought 8 new fans and it is still to hot in our houseIf anyone could please help me, please dueI will need to see the exact law on it so I have proof and maybe use it to get out of our lease because this is getting crazyThank you!

Answer:

other than an electrical cable run it up to the attic inside a closet
First, consider if you really need a cableCan you go wireless with a router? There are some really powerful wireless repeatersIs the cable for phone? Magic Jack will just plug into the electrical wall socket If you must run a cable from your attic, try drilling a hole and running through the wall as it will look betterDon't sweat the insulationI'd just tear it up and then drill, after wire is in and working put the insulation back in Good luck.
I don't know about VA, but I know in NY there's no law requiring a landlord provide air conditioning - it's just a law that a landlord provide heat Good luck!

At a home and garden store like Lowes, Home Depot or a Hardware store you may be able to buy or order a Brush rods which you can join together end to end(They may have a newer type product) Below I have a link which will show you a pictureYou first have to go into the attic and see where you need to run the wireBetween the walls of the adjoining rooms walls is an empty space about 4 wide.Try to run the cable inside the attic and not near the age as the craw space is very narrow at the end of the roof lineBut the rods should get you over and away from many small spots and spacesHave Fun with this project.
