Question:

what is this? it is a metal, possibly copper or brass bowl or planter. It weighs about 5 lbs?

It is a large copper or brass container, with designs on it. It is oxidized and will polish out some. There is some green residue on the inside of it which makes me wonder if it is copper cause it looks like what a penney looks like when it gets wet. I have a picture and if I can post it I will

Answer:

Copper, bronze or brass. All copper alloys. Most pennies are bronze instead of pure copper to make them cheaper. Copper electrical wire should be 99% pure. Bronze is usually copper and tin, but other metals might be used with the copper either with the tin or even with no tin.. Brass is copper and zinc, but it could be a bronze too. brass is normally yellow while bronze looks more reddish brown like copper . Both are quite a bit harder than copper.
Since I don't recall a 900-lb person in the guiness book I'm going to assume you're joking and, to keep the ball rolling (pun intended) I'd say go for the spare and roll 'er over!!!
