Question:

What is wrong with my self-controlling computer cursor?

My lap-top's mouse tends to get a mind of its own, with the cursor going off suddenly to either corner of the screen to stay. I can't move it out or anywhere else, for that matter. It takes complete control of itself, unless I hold down the middle mouse button for 30 seconds. This happens often, though. How do I stop it for good? Thanks for your help!! :)

Answer:

no its his responsibility to maintain the house or apt and to charge you $20 for a $2.00 battery is gouging call the housing board in your area and your local prosecutor .s office
That sounds like maintenance that HE should be taking care of. Isn't a landlord responsible for fire safety stuff? Landlords are such jerks.
No, it is his responsibility as the landlord to maintain the smoke detectors for his tenants. In most states, it is the law. He should not be charging you for what would be considered routine maintenance.
I would hardly think that any water coming from a hydrant would be unsafedue to the fact that firemen are usually in that stuff when fighting a fire. No one would take a chance on exposing the firemen to unsafe water. You could always take a sample from the faucet in the building and have it tested if you really want to feel secure about it.
That sounds outrageous. He should change them for free to protect his property in case there is a fire. My detectors just take a 9 volt battery. They don't cost $10 each!!!
