Okay, I think it's an issue in itself that your husband is willing to give you an ultimatum to either deal with your home being cold or to go somewhere elseThis is your home to and I would assume you do your part to pay the billsIf anything using the air conditioning in the summer is a lot worse than using heatUsing the air conditioner uses freon which really isn't very good for the environment You need to have a talk with him not about the perks of using heat and how it's not all that bad for the environment, but instead about the fact that it's your home too, which means you have every right to use YOUR heating systemYour husband is being a ridiculous child who just wants to get his wayIf you're going to sit around in a 40 degree house, all you're going to do is get sickIf that doesn't work, give him the ultimatum that you either turn on the heat to a decent temp (get a thermostat where you can have it warmer at certain times of day and colder at others to save energy) or you go stay with your parents until the warmer weather hitsBut when summer comes along, it's time to get your own stand on why you shouldn't use the a/c.
