It's an aluminium alloy frameIn my view aluminum is not the most desirable frame material since unless done right it tends to be stiff and uncomfortable (at least relative to carbon, titanium or a good steel frame but they would all be more expensive)Aluminium is strong, light and durable (it won't rust)Other material can be even better, but generally at higher costThere is no ideal frame material, and at a moderate price point aluminium can be a good choiceSee the links for further information on pros and cons of various bike frame materials.
