Question:

What motorcycle tire is great for a sport bike, but will last 7 or 8k miles?

I have a buell xb12r so its got tons of torque and the front end does come up quite often. But i do not do the twisties and bends. so side grip is not really a problem. What tire is better a Pirelli Diablo Strada, Metzeler roadtech z6 or bridgestone battlax. I want a sport touring tire because i drive this bike every where, probably 700miles a month!size is 180/55 zr17

Answer:

Wear i come from 700 miles a month is low mileage. you might think about trying Bridgestone BT-021 they are two different rubber compounds so they can deliver long wear for up right riding and grip for aggressive cornering or a set of Michelins duel compounds I use the Michelines on my SV1000s and am very happy with them
I have a 2005 MT-01 and its still on its original rubber after almost 10k miles. Michelin Pilot Road S. Great rubber.
