Question:

What's a good heat exchanger text book?

I've discovered that my text book from college is crappy, and I'm looking for a good book to learn from. I also have less patience than when I was in college, so easy to read, interesting, and detailed would be good.TIA,Nick

Answer:

I assume you must mean a heat transfer book. One of the best I've seen was by DeNevers. It was out 30 years ago, so it might not still be in print, but it should be available on the used market. The practice and theory don't change. I liked it because it was concise (relatively thin and not a lot of fluff). Another was Tube Turns, but that has been out of print for at least 30 years, and hard to find - it was pretty much nothing but practical, not a lot of theory. If you truly mean a heat exchanger book, call you favorite major manufacturer.
