Question:

What's happening because I wrongly put the battery terminal on my 2002 Honda Accord EX?

I accidentally put the wrong terminals on my Honda Accord 2002 EX. All of a sudden the alarm system starting going off and I immediately took the cables charges off the battery and the alarm went off. Now nothing inside of my car worksit is completely dead. I checked to see if my battery was dead but it still has some charge in it. There was no smoking from the fuse box or battery. Can anyone help me figure this out or tell me what could be the issue?

Answer:

Check your fuse box. Maybe blown all fuses
Reverse connection destroys a lot of electronics near instantaneously. If you are lucky, you will just need to replace a lot of fuses. Or possibly a master fuse in or near the positive battery cable. At worst you will have to replace the engine management computer and a lot of other electronic systems in the car
Connecting the battery backwards will most likely cause significant damage to the electrical components without necessarily causing lots of smoke. Check the fuses. They can blow open without any smoke. You might get lucky by just replacing blown fuses. Otherwise, you'll have some major expense to repair the electrical damage (alternator, radio, computer, etc).
