What's the difference between a hot rail and a heat treated rail?
Surface heat treatment, such as surface hardening. There is still a difference, but for the same material, heat treatment is the same.
The hot rolling is equivalent to the annealed state, while the heat treatment is divided into many kinds, the whole heat treatment, annealing, tempering, normalizing, quenching, chemical heat treatment, carburizing and nitriding;
