Question:

What to look for on a flint lock Kentucky long gun?

I'm interested in a flint lock Kentucky long gun, hanging on this lady's wall. I dident get to look to close at it, and it was dark. It has a bayonet, which seems too shiny to be old.It dident have any fancy medal work on it, from what I could see.The lock, pan, ect, seem to be all there. The wood seems to have age to it, tho it was dark and hard to see.I know to look for any modern screws, parts, missing parts, and how to check the firing mechanism. But is there anything that should raise a red flag to weather its an antique, or a fake? Certain proof marks I should look for? Where they would be located? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

'not sure if you can get one for only $25 a month. try ADT, slowman's shield, time warner security and brinks. I think those are most popular!
Okay (my fav) and find yourself some tactical gear, goggles (I recommend the Arena flakjak ver1 goggles off for $36, they will stop a REAL bullet and have antifog also come with 2 lenses.. Now, find a good plate carrier for $35, and buy some pouches, then grab 3-5 midcap mags, and you should be set.. Now if you want a really awesome gun and less tactical gear, then id go for an Echo 1 Stag, on Gi for 175!
what others said about goggles and proper clothing is excellent. Here are several others to choose from. (Be sure you know what the liquid is that you're heating.) Heat the liquid under a hood to vent any vapors away. Don't heat too vigorously. Have safety tongs or gloves available to remove the beaker from the hot plate.
