In order to avoid the dissimilar electric current I understand that solid copper is best - also is plastic o.k. to use with copper that carries hot water heat and what type of nails or screws should I use?
To avoid the electrolysis wrap the pipe with a dielectric tape and keep the place dry
Either one will work well. With copper straps you can get copper nails. With the plastic it doesn't matter what you use.
