What types of toddlers are high in fiber?
I like to use about an 11 needle and if you already have the worsted just double it.
If you look on the paper that's around the wool, it should tell you what needles you need.

a size 8 is a little small for a worsted yarn, a 10 or a 12 would probably be a better size, and it would go more quicklythats the size i started out using and it was a lot easierthe bigger the needles, the bigger the stitches and the faster it goesof course if the yarn is thinner then the stitches will be more airy so to speakif the stitches are too tight, then you are holding the yarn too tightlywith more practice, you will know what kind of tension is right and what feels most comfortable and your stitches will be more uniformgood luck!
