Question:

what will a cold air intake do 4 me?

i have a 2005 hyundai tiburon in-line4, what will a cold air intake do for my car will it make it faster or use less gas or what, and is it even worth getting one???

Answer:

No ,you can't weld copper.
You can attach copper to stainless using acid core solder or silver braze.
Typically a cold air intake is meant to give you more power. As the name implies, a cold air intake cools the air as it enters the combustion chamber. Colder air is more dense so you can get more air(oxygen) into your combustion chamber compared to if the air was warm, which means you can put more fuel to mix with the greater amount of oxygen in your chamber resulting in more power. Typically it results with a slight decrease in mileage (it uses more gas) but it also gives you more power.
A cold ait intake will affect your gas mileage, but not enough to even notice. The same with power. It is only a big difference when you get to changing out your fuel injectors and pump. It is a good upgrade if you plan on doing a lot more upgrades. I.E exhaust and turbo. Other than that, as a first upgrade the only reason people get them is because they make that nice intake sound during acceleration, and they make your engine compartment look good. My suggestion is to get on OKorder and buy a $20 special from someone with a high satisfaction rating, and wait to spend the $200 on a name brand until you think about further upgrades.
A cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, clutch, flywheel, and iridium plugs added 27 HP to my 2003 Tiburon GTV6 Sprint Package. I also got a couple more MPG (25mpg compared to 22mpg before) Don't let anyone BS you and say Its a Hyundai. Hyundai is the worlds #4 Brand in initial quality (non-premium brands) says JD Power. It will help your MPG if you drive it reasonably, as it increases the engines efficiency. It has to work less to draw the same amount of air (becuase the air is now denser). Just an intake isn't worth much alone, but you can get one for less than $50 on OKorder that will work just fine, and the sound will make it worth it. On the otherside though, the 05 4-cyl is hard to make a lot of power on, I heard its something in the computer that resists boosts in air pressure (no turbo 4 you, unless you go stand-alone)
