1 alarm fire means all the off duty firefighters are called back in to duty, unless its a volunteer department then it means mutual aid is called in to help fight the fire. 2nd alarm means additional departments are called in as well as 3rd alarm.
Same as copper. Clean pipe and fitting connections with a wire brush or emery cloth where they fit together and apply rosin flux coating for soldering plumbing fittings. Then assemble joint and heat with a propane torch. Feed the solder (no lead type) in slowly and let it be drawn into the connection. Not too much solder! Wear safety glasses and have a damp rag ready to wipe the access solder off the joint before it cools to make a professional looking job.
