I honestly have no clue... BUTTTT If you eat a banana, or peanut butter (as long as your not allergic) it usually helps a little... OR do sit-ups/crunches. It works the best. I get AWFUL cramps (so bad I almost throw-up sometimes) and I was google-ing how to relieve cramps. Someone said something about sit-ups...so I did about twenty and it worked really well. :) Hope you feel better. Cramps suck. :(
lime tea doesn't work cause the lime is to acidic take the pills instead

You could try an herbal tea with honey. Or putting a heat pack over the cramping area. I usually just suck it up. Nothing really works for me :-/
Lime tea no, but what will work are; yarrow, lemon balm, black haw, chamomile, red raspberry, wild strawberry, valerian, and raspberry leaf - the latter being the best as a uterus relaxant. That's if you just want to drink tea, there are a hell of a lot of other things you can use to prevent menstrual cramps without taking any pills, a few simple suggestions; Clary sage oil rubbed into your tummy - supports estrogen production and acts on pituitary gland to prevent cramps. Cell salts - taken every 5-10 minutes until the pain stops. Balanced diet - rich in essential fatty acids and low in refined sugars, refined carbohydrates and hydrogenated fats, avoid foods that make you bloated such as salty foods, and some find dairy, caffeine and soy cause problems. Vitamins - omega 3, flaxseed oil (approx. 500Mg 2-4 times a day), B vitamin complex with 100mg of vitamin B6, Magnesium (100mg every 2 hours during menstruation), and vitamin E in d-alpha tocopherol form (50mg 3 times a day). Excercise - yoga or anything that stretches your abdomen and improves breathing. Masturbation/sex - during orgasm a hormone called oxytocin is released which causes uterus contractions, relaxation and increased blood flow from arousal also helps. Avoid tampons - they can cause cramps, switch to menstrual cups which are healthier and lessen cramps. Complimentary treatments - Chiropractice care or Acupressure particularly, search online for pressure points to stimulate to stop cramps. Chinese medicine - Bupleurum (xiao yao wan) take 3-4 tablets 4 times a day a few weeks before your period. Herbal - Evening Primrose oil, Vitex or Black Cohosh capsules daily to regulate hormones.
