Question:

what would I need besides the engine and engine wiring harness to put a 454 into my 1994 full size Blazer?

I have access to an engine from a burned out RV, I know I'll need the computer like from a 2500 or 3500 with a 454 most likely the same year as my Blazer but what else would probably be necessary to complete this swap?

Answer:

you're able to make your life somewhat greater handy via in basic terms putting a carburetor on suitable of the 4.3 and doing away with the pc altogether. the two way this is going to likely be some artwork. you would be greater advantageous off in basic terms paying for an o.e.m wiring harness from a place like Painless Wiring in case you settle directly to maintain the pc. On a automobile like that, i could in basic terms put in a small block v-8. in case you do settle directly to apply a carburetor, you ought to purchase an intake manifold from Summit overall performance Or Jeg's. additionally, in case you maintain the gasoline injection with the pc, you will might desire to change the gasoline tank for an electric powered gasoline pump and return line. you may might desire to change the exhaust equipment somewhat additionally to apply the oxygen sensor.
the 454 from rv has different cam and distributor than pickup truck if your blazer is two wheel drive use trans front case from motor home rear part of case is diff has park brake on tail shaft that way you get 4 l 80 e you will also need trans elect shift chip from speed shop if your blazer has 7 r 4 if 4 l60 e just plug in have fun bending ehaust pipe with elect bender radias diff and bigger try front pipes from pickup there was big block option you will also need rad from pickup motor mome to big to go into truck exhaust manifolds may not work depends on yr of engine also you need to use same type fuel inj t b i or tuned port as pump in tank and computor diff etc
don't think the big block will colt to ur trans. u will need to modify exhaust to fit.if u wanted u could get an older intake and put a carb on the 454 which would make the wiring and computer setup a lot easier btw RV 454 is not the same as truck version and is tuned different and may or may not work with computer from a truck.not to mention that the power is set up differently so u may b doing a lot of work for nothing.
Aside from the RV concern, you actually need very little to make this work. The 350 and 454 use the same bellhousing pattern, but I would not dare put a 454 in front of a 4L60(E) transmission. Heck, a 350 kills that trans easily enough. The wiring harness is the same, the computer is the same, but you need a 454 chip and be sure the engine is complete as the TB unit, injectors, knock sensor, etc all need to be 454 specific. At least GM did well with this part of the equationeasy parts interchangeability! You will need better differentials as well.
