Question:

whats better on a carpet ?

soap or a regular carpet cleaner

Answer:

That depends on the carpet and the dirt build up - if moderately dirty use a regular carpet spray type cleaner - but if really dirty rent a cleaner and use Folex a deep cleaning agent that cleans and deodorizes it also gets rid of pet stains/odor. If by regular soap you mean dish or clothes type never use that it is to sudsy and will actually trap dirt in the fibers. Good Luck
a regular carpet cleaner or the red juice that my baby nephew spilled on my new white carpet. but a regular carpet cleaner got it out well almost
Resolve carpet cleaner works great on almost any stain, but some stains can be gotten out easily with dawn dish soap. Be careful not to saturate the carpet completely because it can cause mold to grow between the carpet and the padding.
depends on the stain. I like carpet cleaner personally. If your whole carpet is dirty, those rug doctors you can rent at the grocery store are actually amazing. I rented one and couldn't believe how well it cleaned. I also rented the upholstery attachment and cleaned my white couch and the interior of my truck. It was totally worth the $25 for 24 hours. I didn't bother buying all the soaps and stuff they sell with it, just some steam cleaner detergent and a little fabric softener in the other tank instead of the suds reducer they push on you. Good luck. Of, if it's an animal stain you can buy enzymatic cleaner that will actually take care of the stain and the smell.....
This is what I do all the time. Go rent a rug doctor at your grocery store. I never use any of the special cleaners, instead I buy a nice big bottle of Mr. Clean orange cleaner and dillute it in some water (to the designated fill line on the water canister). Then run the rug doctor like normal. It does wonders for your carpet! It seriously is awesome. I've even used it on white carpets, colored and car carpets. Give it a try.
