Question:

whats difference between exhaust system and muffler?

whats cost difference. which one gives car that nice loud sound, what does it do to performance of car

Answer:

The muffler is part of the exhaust system. The muffler is that big oval thing that your exhaust pipe feeds into and out of. It works to make the sound quieter. Without one, it can get loud. They do more than make it quiet though. They also can work to give it that nice deep throaty sound. I cant shed more light on exactly how they work to effect the noise in the specific ways they do (louder, quieter, deeper). I just know that they effect the noise.
The muffler is part of the exhaust system. The muffler is the thing that diminishes the noise. Generally speaking, an aftermarket muffler is designed to be fitted to the stock exhaust pipe. .
system is from maifold to the end, muffler is what gives u that sound u want.flowmaster would be good. exhaust systems r going to cost more, but it would be better becuz it would allow the car to breath better.allows more air out, less restriction on the motor
