Question:

whats good resolution for an LCD monitor?

I want to get an LCD 22 monitor or bigger but not have to pay too much. Some guy is triing to charge me 280EURO!! for an LG one.I have i high end PC with the Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS but want an ok monitor. I think anything will be good for me as ill be switching from one of those old fashioned tv type monitors.what should i look for or do you know where i can get cheap enough?

Answer:

i bought the acer 19 lcd widescreen off tiger direct for like 220, its fantastic and i use 1440x900 on it, is sexy, and anything bigger would hurt my eyes personally, because i sit so close, if u sit a bit far back ,get a 22 nothing bigger is my suggestiong
Monitor resolution is proportional to the size of the monitor.
on a standard screen, no less than 1024x768. get higher if possible. depending on the dimensions of a wide screen monitor, aim for 1280x900 or higher.
It also depends if you want a widescreen or a standard. Get a Samsung LCD or check best buy, frys or circuit city for some good deals.
