Question:

whats up with my skateboard wheels?

i got the 51mm hubba ice cubes from zumiez. i have reds bearing, their a little dirty but nothing to make them go slower or less distance. i know its my wheels though. i skate around my neighborhood alot. its just street terrain, like actual highway, city street thing. ill push like a million times and go good for about 2 second, but then i just stop moving. the only reason ill move from my regular spot is cause i pushed all the way. what do i do?? i got them like a month ago, custom board with them.

Answer:

Smaller wheels go slower. Simple rotational motion. Larger wheels must travel faster to compensate for the greater distance traveled in on revolution. It's why some longboard racers have 95mm wheels. The only cure is to get bigger wheels. Cruising wheels are normally about 65-75mm
