Question:

wheel bearing in a 95 celica?

im lookin into gettin a car for my sis and she is really interested in this celica. the owner said it needs a wheel bearing and a spindle assembly. how much for both parts and labor am i lookin to spend

Answer:

Quality is like buying oats. If you want good quality oats, you pay a good price for them. If however you want oats that have already gone through the horse, well they are cheaper.
on the part cost your best bet would to just call some place like Napa or somewhere like that and labor it depends on a few things like yr, type of celica, and engine size my dad owns a shop and if you got back with that information i could get him to give you a round about answer
The wheel bearing is pressed into the spindle on all front wheel drive cars and secured by three hardened bolts by the ears on the bearing. Unless the spindle is damaged all you need is a new complete bolt in wheel bearing. Napa has them for $85.00. It's best to remove the spindle from the lower ball joint remove the strut unbolt the old wheel bearing and press it out. The new wheel bearing assembly is pulled back in by the three hardened bolts.
