Question:

wheel bearing problem!?

okay i had one of my wheel bearings changed about 3-4 weeks ago but now i hear that humming sound again when i accelerate, also a shaky feeling when im idle like at a red light, can the shaking be from the wheel bearings and what else can a bad wheel bearing cause, i have a 2001 pontiac bonneville sle with 65,000 miles on it.

Answer:

No it wont affect your cars running. You will hear it and feal it in your wheel. Go from one side of the road to the other slowly at about 40 mph. If you hear the growl then you know whitch side it is.
Wheel bearing only would make noise while the car is moving. So that is not the problem loose power steering belt would do that also low fluid in the power steering pump.
The wheel bearing would only make noise or cause vibration when the vehicle is moving. Bad wheel bearings can cause noise, vibration, cause the car to pull towards that side or tire wear with really bad bearings. I think you need to look for a engine problem like a possible missfire. Is the check engine or service engine soon light on?
