Question:

wheel-well cutting tires?

I have just bought a 2007 mazdaspeed 3 that has 18x7 aftermarket rims and if I have passengers in the back seat when I hit even the smallest bump my wheel-well cuts into my tire and makes a terrible noise. Any suggestions on what I should do to resolve this? I thought about getting smaller rims but didn‘t know if that would help.

Answer:

Depending on how long it's in for. nothing could happen or it could break. Best not to try, though.
Dishes that are not marked safe for the microwave may have air bubbles in them and could blow up when heated.
Those huge wheels actually destroy the ride characteristics of the car. get a nice set of wheels that are the correct size for the car and proceed to zip around like you never have before. Those are nice driving and handling cars with the correct tire size and the speedo will be correct as well.
Do one of these 4 things 1 get oem size rims and tires 2 upgrade suspension system in rear 3 get rid of fat friends find smaller ones 4 Use sledge hammer or cutting torch to increase fender to tire clearence
An experienced heavy body man will have a simple method of tweaking the wheel opening lips for clearance without damaging the paint.Believe it or not, they use a broom handle wedged between the tire and the lip then roll the car,the broom stick pushes the lip out very evenly as it travels.
