When cooking ribs in a crockpot what else do I add water bbq sauce ?? And how long??

I don't add anything while in the pot, when they are done, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, put the ribs on it then cover with bbq sauceBake in a 325 degree oven until sauce cooks in.
