Question:

when taking a motorcycle tire into be changed do i get any paperwork when they take the tire?

when i give the shop my tire and wheel do i get a record that i gave it to them to be work on? what do i expect?

Answer:

Usually they fill out a Work Order, just as if the entire bike were at the shop. There is usually a tag with the Work Order Number on it that they give you.
You can ask for a receipt and I'm sure they will provide one but I've never had any trouble at any motorcycle shop in regards to a simple tire swap-out. If you happen to have any trouble in this matter please notify the local authorities and file a complaint. (or email me, I'm an ex-firefighter that can still swing an axe, :)

Certainly within your rights to ask them for a receipt to prove they have your stuff.
