Question:

When the silicon steel sheet is out of the factory, it has been insulated Then why do you paint insulating paint sometimes?

When the silicon steel sheet is out of the factory, it has been insulated Then why do you paint insulating paint sometimes?

Answer:

If it is an old silicon steel sheet or a repaired transformer core, it is better to apply an insulating paint. The coating can reduce the no-load loss and improve the insulation strength between the chips, thus ensuring the safety of the core. But it will increase the thickness of the core chip, reduce the effective cross sectional area of the core, and reduce the lamination factor. Conversely, the no-load loss of the iron core is increased.
If the newly purchased transformer, cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, and no serious surface strain and other defects, there is no need to paint painted insulation.
If it is a hot rolled silicon steel sheet (motor), it must be painted with insulating paint.
If it is imported from * * * of silicon steel sheet, the original surface can not, then it is necessary to apply a layer of insulating paint.
