When you ask philosophy Questions, do you see yourself as an excavator looking for gems of truth in the facts?

Answer:

Hello brother, I would say. Looking for gems with potential in a see of unpolished knowledge. Truth is perennially evasive, though we strive to approach it.
A fact must be true to be a fact. Do you mean: do I sift through the evidence to find the facts? ......................................... To Paul: A true statement is a statement based on fact. It has to be precise. Using words is a means of communication. If a word is vague don't use it unless you intend to be vague: but there is nothing vague about some words. They are exact in what they mean.
bearing fruit for others to eat is a joy to me. especially when its jesus fruit. he is the vine of life and who ever doesn't beleive will be cut out and thrown on the fire. guess God like to be entertained as well as loved
But what is truth? That I believe is the greater question. Does a fact have some inherent truth within it, or does the truth negate the fact?
No. I see philosophy as a way of understanding the nature of language. When trying to understand truths what we are really doing is finding the way in which we use words. Human language is not a tool by which we can discover truths as the word truth is just a commonly used vague word itself. Language is a way of communicating using a protocol known as 'the human condition' which itself relies upon common experience/references or at least references that are seemingly common enough to make the communication seem valid. ... now I feel much better.
