Question:

Where can I buy quality bulk yarn?

I began making granny squares for a bedspread out of Lion Brand Microspun yarn a few days agoMy intent was to also use up some of the awesome sock yarn I have, but then I realized that they are made of two different materials, and therefore the wool in the sock yarn would shrink a lot more than the acrylic MicrospunDoes anyone know where I could find more yarn for a lower price than Joann Fabrics? Or perhaps more importantly, what blends of yarn can I use with the acrylic microspun that won't shrink disproportionately and ruin my bedspread?

Answer:

fold the whole skirt fabric in 4Mark the distance several times from the center point, to the outside radius lengthIt should then be fairly easy to connect the dots or just freehand cut the arch
I'm no pro, but i've made my fair share of skirtstie a string the length of your radius to a piece of chalk or a markerHold the end at the center point and draw a line holding the string tautYou should get a perfect arch.
get a piece of poster board and put a sewing pin in the middle, and cut a string the length of the radius, and tie a pencil to the other end and drw out a circle, then place it on the fabric and use a fabric marker or a pencil to draw it out, then just cut its like making a pencil compass, it serves the exact same purpose
try acmoore or Micheal's because they sell yarn.
f you are having trouble with the drafting, end your misery and buy a nice pattern from your local fabric storeThey're very cheap and you can use it over and over.
