Question:

Where can I find card reader for a hotel key?

I found a hotel key card in my husband's car and I want to know how I can get the information off of it. A private investigator told me that I need to find a service that will read the card or find a card reader. Does anyone know how to do this?

Answer:

just confront him about it
Try the hotel. Offer the desk clerk a bl0wjob if he'll give you the info off the key.
There is NO information on a hotel card key. That you FOUND the thing is the issue. Good luck, Sweetie. xoxoxo
Did you pay that private investigator for that advise? If you did, you need to get a lawyer and get your money back. There's no information on a hotel key card. The only thing that would be on it is the code they gave it when he checked in and they coded the door the same. Once he checked out of the hotel, they change the code. Why don't you just ask him what's up?
The machine that desk clerks use to make key cards on is hotel specific, so even if you find another machine it will not be possible to read your specific key. Hotel keys are only made for a specific timeframe, usually they expire about one hour after check-out time on the day on the day you were scheduled to check-out of the hotel. Once they expire they go blank and are unable to be read even by the hotel that made them. If you think about it this is to prevent guests from going back to the room they had previously stayed in and gaining entry. I would just ask him about it.
