Question:

Where can i find cheap pensioner and disabled lift hoists ?

I am planning on buying some pension and disable aids ... but none of the websites have offered me what i am looking for ... well they have but at very high prices .... so i was wondering if any of you guys know where i can find moving and handeling disabled aid machines ... which is know as hoists ? thankss xx

Answer:

they are actually very expensive, regardless of being new or second hand,so will rarely ever find one for cheap. there are many different types of hoists as well-make sure to research them first, and know which type are after, they can be rented if remember correctly. one other way that is always worth a try,is to join freecycle and freegle [join the groups that are local to own area] and posted a 'wanted' message, asking if anyones got a fully working useable hoist, they woud be free if gotten via freecycle or freegle as those groups are for getting rid of stuff not wanted anymore.
Used medical supply spots and /or estate sales......or a huge hospital. You know that most hospitals have to have the latest equipment so i'm certain that if you contacted someone in operations they could tell you how to get your hands on some older equipment that still has a lot of life to it. Good luck!
