Question:

Where can I get copper pipe?

I am currently working on a project building an evaporative (swamp) cooler and am looking for 2" diameter and 3" diameter copper pipe. I have looked at plumbingsupply but their prices seem a bit steep.I also need a few reducing tees and reducing couplers. Any help?

Answer:

home depot
Your local plumbing supply should have them or be able to get them quickly. The price of copper is rising again (until very recently) so tubing and wire will go fluctuate with the commodity price.
Copper pipe is very expensive. In many areas thieves are stealing the copper piping, wiring and AC condensers to sell as scrap. I would think you should reconsider a design using UV resistant PVC pipe. It is easier to work with, and much cheaper. PVC fittings are also easy to find.
difficult issue. look over yahoo. that will may help!
