I've been looking all over the internet to find some kind of guide or blueprint on how to build a sectional sofa. I want to learn how to build each type of section of a sectional sofa, like the corner piece, middle pieces, and even ottomans. I JUST CAN'T FIND ANYTHING.I'm almost tempted to go to the .. gulp.. library
Every time Pottery Barn sends me a catalogue, they show a picture of their sofa/chair cut in half compared to a poorly built one cut in half, labeling and explaining each part. Maybe you could start there?
I have used a rug doctor before with an upolstery attachment. Worked miracles! You can rent them at most grocery stores, home improvement stores and pet stores. Resolve also makes a new cleaner for fabrics you can't just throw in the wash. SUpposedly you spray it on and it cleans as it dries. I've never used it so I can't attest to its effectiveness.

I found this site using google, www.furniture-for-small-spaces ... it talks about using/buying armless chairs and what kind to look for, I guess you could use their advice to build your own armless chairs, or try finding a site that can help you build the types of chairs you find that work best for a sectional sofa? I didn't see any actual blueprintlike results though.
