Question:

Where do you buy your tires for your car?

I‘ve looked at tire rack but wondering about a local private owned tire shop. What brand are good tires ? ( Michelin, Yokohama, bridge stone, etc.) For a family vehicle.

Answer:

At a tire store. Seriously, I buy at a tire store (national chain). I won't name the chain because there are a number of them that are about the same. I always buy Michelins. I've had the best luck with them for years. They are not the cheapest but, with tires, you get what you pay for.
those are the most expensive and not the best.Excluding Michelin.Toyo Makes good tire I buy at Bruneel a company that is spread through the whole northwest. And cooper tire another excellent company with good tires.Almost all rubber is the same only a few manufacturing plants, and they make tires for all. just different names on the tires.
There a many good tire brands. But quality of a tire is much more based on the model of tire, not simply the brand. Each tire manufacturer makes dozens of tire models, varying in both quality and performance rating. Your options with be based on your vehicle and your needed size. Buy online, from tirerack, if you are not concerned about after care costs (rotations, balancing, flat repair, etc.) Otherwise, find a local tire seller if the after care is a concern.
