Okay I know most people get diamond, ruby or saphire engagement rings, But the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with loves Rose Quartz and I want to make the ring special. I'm not going to propose for awhile since I'm only 19 and don't have a steady job yet, but for future on I want to know of some places I could possibly find a place that would do this for me.
Quartz is just a mineral and not a gemstone.
Gems are just attractive minerals. usually they are looking for hardness, colour, clarity and brilliance. Brilliance is a function of the stone's refraction of light if it is a clear stone. Precious gems are also valued higher if they are rare.
