Question:

Which auto shop can replace a Windshield Wiper on a 03 Jetta?

My windshield wiper decided to stop working while it was raining. Thankfully it wasn‘t a heavy downpour. I need to get new blades and find the reason why it stopped working. Since it‘s Sunday tomorrow I‘ll have few choices of getting the wipers repaired. Does anybody know if Jiffy Lube or O‘Reilly Auto Parts will repair windshield wipers?

Answer:

If you are having problems with the wiper motors then you are pretty much out of luck. Jiffy Lube normally do lubrication and oil changes. O'Reilly will sell you parts but do not have a repair center. I would also bet that if you need a motor they wouldn't have it in stock, even the dealer would probably have to order one. If you have a Sears Service Center or perhaps a Goodyear service center then you might have a chance of getting repairs done on Sunday. You can increase the chances if you have the part in hand but then we don't know if it is the motor or if a retaining clip fell off so the arm no longer moves.
