Question:

Which provides more insulation, Styrofoam or Ice-crest box?

Which provides more insulation, Styrofoam or Ice-crest box?

Answer:

Aluminum is used for cooking in ovenSaran wrap is for storageBut if you make a salad and want it for tomorrow, I would put it in a plastic bagSaran will hold to glass or any none plastic bowlYou do need to stretch it a little.
I find if I am using a plastic bowl it is easiest to mummify the bowl with saran wrap.the wrap will not stick to the bowl, but it will stick to itself, so you just wrap it around a few times to make it stickUse foil for anything you are going to put back in the oven later, but don't put foil in the microwave (it will create a pretty light show with sparks everywhere, but may damage the microwave).
saran wrap likes glass bowls better than metal ones or plasticI think it has to do with the static electricity effectsI use foil for things that are going to go in the oven to reheat themOtherwise, saran wrap (or tupperware)Of course, you could save the foil and reuse it for things like grandma used toMake a hat while you are at it so the aliens can't microwave your brain(or the NSA)
You would want to use saran wrap on salad to keep out the air that would make the vegetables limpFoil can be used for stuff the air won't affect like meatOr stuff that doesn't dripAnd wonderful for cooking and easy clean-upSaran wrap is also better to use on stuff that will be left outside of the fridge for a better seal.
Since all the coolers use styrofoam for insulation, any box which has protection over the styrofoam core is going to have a better insulation factor than plain styrofoamSome of the Ice chests advertise longer cold keeping abilityThe reason s because they use more styrofoam than average chests do.
