Question:

Which tipe of brake pads are better ceramic, semi-metalic?

people at stores don‘t really know what they‘re selling, what do you recommend.

Answer:

Tire regulation are different, but if you have a penny put the coin between the treads the rubber should touch the top of Lincoln's head.or more the more the penny sinks in the better it is.They sell dept gages in auto parts store. 4/32 in front 2/32 in rear, measure in several places. If in doubt, have them replaced, depends on your driving distance and load such as passengers,or children.
The creamic are good, but only if you have to do alot of braking and I mean alot they work better when hot so if you don't plan on being on them constantly don't buy them. I'd get the semi-metallic they are a good brake pad and will last for what 90% of people use as for braking
ceramic pads are in basic terms greater effective in case you have a fabulous set of tyre's and you do multiple finished on braking once you're using. in case you have inventory tyre's orchronic sensibly you're starting to be little or no benefit. in case you go with greater effective scuffling with skill then positioned greater rubber on the line with some wider tires. in the experience that your brake pads are adequate to fasten the wheels or reason the ABS to diminish in even once you're using annoying then ceramic discs would be a waste of you cash. in case you do be afflicted by multiple brake fade get ceramics.
CERAMIC HAVE LESS DUST AND ARE NORMALLY MORE QUIET SEMI METALIC WILL STOP YOU VERY WELL AND LAST LONGER THAN MOST CERAMIC BRAKE PADS
Good pressure maintenence, regular rotation, correct alignment, and if they are getting less than 2/32 (hold a U.S. penny with lincoln's head in the groove, it should cover the top of his head at least a little) or getting out of round/ bulging spots on the tread, they need to be replaced.
