I have an 87 Cbr 600 with a 130/80/17 rear and 110/80/17 front. Most of the tires I can get for the bike are H-rated and in the sport/touring category. Choices are Michelin Pilot Activ, Bridgestone Battlax BT-45,Metzler lasertec and Avon Road Rider which are the only V-rated, and the cheapest for some reason. If anyone has some 1st hand knowledge of any of these tires I would appreciate it. Thanks .
I second the vote for the Avons. I have had excellent experience with them. Good grip and long wear. Plus, you want that V rating in a CBR 600.
the tyres would have a flat spot the place they sat on the floor. The tyres whilst deflated would be rock stressful. The tyres whilst properly inflated would have cracks in them alongside the realm partitions, inbetween the tred. whilst your using, because of the fact the tyres are old they could heatup or grip genuine and would overheat. Any flat spots will reason vibrations 15 365 days old tyres ive used and that they have got been wonderful the oldest tyres ive used are 22yrs old, yet have been nevertheless delicate

I haven't even got on a motorcycle yet, but all my gear is ready and let me tell you, a Shoei RF1100 was $400 and the gloves were $70. Just get ready to add $1,000 2,000 to your grand total including your bike and possible repairs etc. But still, I think it's cheaper than cars by a lot.
