Question:

Why are cats generally terrified of Vacuum Cleaners?

nan

Answer:

Its because a cats ears are 10 times more better at hearing then humans, dogs too. What sounds not too loud to you, sounds way worse to them.
Our cats hate them too. I think its due to the fact that there louder the showering machines and dishwashers. Motor bikes are loud however they're kept out part or in a storage now not within. I also think there petrified of them on the grounds that you progress them about and they might think you you are going to hit them with it or suck them up (lol) or anything. No need to fear if your that concerned about it put them in an extra room or put them out part. All cats are the equal!! Our cats hate them our white cat runs and stays on the window sill and the other stays on the couch!!
Where are your brain cells or common sense? Put up posters and offer a reward and maybe someone will find and return them. When you get them back, go to the airport and stand by a jumbo jet when they turn the jet motors on. That equals what it's like for a cat and vacuum cleaner.
Probably cause vacuum cleaners are generally loud, and the noise scares them. Plus the vacuum cleaner's a lot larger than the cat, so it may be intimidating. Cats seem to get scared of a lot of things easily though,
Because they are very loud and not something a cat experiences all the time. I vacuum weekly and the cats leave a trail of bricks behind them when I do. However, my 7.3 liter diesel engine doesn't phase them a bit when I fire up the truck and they're standing nearby. It's a matter of exposure. If you ran the vacuum twice a day, every day, it would eventually cease to have an effect on them.
