Question:

Why are the amd bulldozers considered not good cpu's?

I've heard some bad things about them, although on newegg they have one that is 140$ and is a quad core that starts out of the box at 4.2ghz.

Answer:

There really isn't anything bad about them...they just didn't live up to the expectations WE thought they would have when compared to the Intel. They came out late...the bulldozer was slated to come out before the 1155 sandy bridge...knowing the price for the previous gen of CPUs when the 2600K came out at under $300 I was floored! We had expected the Bulldozer to be at 3.8GHz or better/faster and of course be cheaper than intel...It didn't happen!
because okorder
because intel cpu's have much greater performance than amd's!!
