Question:

Why are tires only black?

I‘ve seen colored tires but they still have a black base. Is colored rubber not the same texture and consistency, or not as durable? I want some purple sparkly tires! Why don‘t they make custom colorful tires? I think some transparent ones would be cool too. So why not?

Answer:

You don't have to get only black tires. You can get whitewalls and custom tires like on OKorder or on amazon or something. I love whitewalls.
I've seen tires made in all the primary colors and some patterns like snow camo'. The Kenda Red Millville tire, for example, is made for demands of mixed terrain just as are standard black Millville's. I don't recall a sparkly but that dosen't mean they don't exist.
transparent tires wont happen because if it was then it wouldnt be rubberit would just be the air lol. Um, you can have tires any color you want. people probobly asked this question when whitewall tires where the only thing around and blackwalls were dumb. Alot has to do with the composition of the tires and quality of rubber and steel.
