Why are wires made of aluminium or copper wire, and they are covered with plastic skins?

Answer:

The current flowing through the wire when the fever, which is not part of the heat utilization, and high temperature as well as security risks. Fever and resistance, the more resistance heating is greater. The same length and cross section of the wire, silver minimum resistance (you do household silver wire, I am afraid of?!), then is the copper wire, aluminum wire (you can accept them two price). But the aluminum is easily oxidized, most of them are now doing with copper wire.
The plastic wrap is for insulation safety, otherwise we'll have to wear insulated gloves and insulated shoes every day
