Question:

Why can't we bring back the electric chair?

I was watching the famous execution film, where they filmed an actual electric chair execution. While eating my popcorn, I thought of how much more just the chair is than injection. Why can it not be brought back?

Answer:

I completely agree, especially if they test it out on you first.
Yeah and when they bring it back HOW BOUT YOU TAKE 1ST SEAT?
Ever hear of cruel and unusual punishment which we are supposed to be protected against? How about bringing back the rack or covering someone in boiling oil while your at it? Nice!
They should bring it back, along with crucifixion and book burnings... Also, what's with the laws saying the women can go to work these days? I think we should return to the good times when women without husbands were left to starve.
It's the feel good lefties and their It's cruel crowd that brought an end to executions in the electric chair. I believe the final nail in the coffin was because of a chair nicknamed Old Sparky. Actually 12 states called their electric chair by that name, but it was the one in Florida that caught public attention. As part of the execution process a wet sponge was placed on the head of the person to be executed to make good contact, and on a couple occasions due to improper placement of the cap the sponge would burst into flames which out raged the P.C police. Electrocution will probably never come back, but it is still an option for death row convicts in a few states, and as you can see from some of the responses you're getting the do gooders are alive and well.
